Andy Greer has 25 years’ experience within the electrical/mechanical machinery/power generation industry, primarily in the areas of global market access requirements and regulatory compliance, technical performance of equipment, machinery safety, power distribution level electrical installations, state of the art design practices and international standardisation and specialist consultancy.
Andy has served for 12 years as a leading technical expert in National and International power generation trade association technical committees, including AMPS (UK – power systems), EUROPGEN (Europe – power systems, ORGALIM – Europe – All machinery sectors). Andy is the current Chairman of the UK Association of Manufacturers of Power Systems (AMPS)Technical Committee, and has served as an Industry expert in specialist European Commission Working Groups in Brussels, creating and maintaining European Directives for Machinery Safety and Outdoor Noise emissions. Andy has been a long standing contributor to the power generation and machinery industry and has achieved the status of a leading go-to product compliance consultant and technical expert, and has become a highly respected figure within the global electric power generation and energy sectors.
